I love taking photos. It’s as simple as that. I am not a full-time professional photographer, but I take photos, good photos. I give total attention to every picture I take to make sure that every single image looks its absolute best. I love my photos, and I hope that you do too!
My style is simple, fun, and certainly not fussy. I believe that a photo can be technically perfect, or it can project a feeling directly to the person looking at it. Although it would be good to be perfect all the time, I always strive for the feeling. If you look at my photos and get a feeling of the emotion in the image, then I have done my job.
I am not a full-time photographer; I have a full-time day job. But I love taking photos, and I believe that I should put my hobby to good use!
This means that I am not as flexible with dates as a full-time photographer, but it also means that I do not charge vast sums for my skills. I give my all because it’s my passion rather than a way to pay the bills. When you use me for your photographs, you’re getting someone who loves what he does, and will always strive to be the best.
I picked up my first camera when I was four years old. For my seventh birthday, I received a blue Konica Pop camera and I took it everywhere I went. Now, at 33, I have graduated onto gear a little more advanced, but my sense of wonder remains. My gear is up to date and capable, but there’s so much more to good photography than a nice camera, and I hope that this shows throughout the images that I make.
For all of 2011, I will be working with a single price: ”pay me what I am worth”. I have no fixed prices anywhere on this website. If you want to use my skills and passion, then please get in touch. At the end of the process when you have in your hands my best work, I will explain exactly the time I have invested in producing it. You can use this along with how you feel about the images in your hands to then pay me nothing more than what you fairly feel I deserve. This is a risk for me of course, but I hope that it takes away any element of risk that you may feel by hiring a rookie!
I live in Baildon with my wife, stepdaughter, and toddler son. Baildon is a lovely town in a fantastically photogenic area, in perfect position for access to Bradford, Leeds, Shipley, Ilkley, Otley, Keighley, Skipton, and farther afield.
As well as a love for photography, I believe strongly in going though life as ethically as possible. For me, this means that I will always conduct business as fairly as I can, that I will always be up front about everything that I do, and that I will never rip you off, or bend the truth in order to get business.
